New Butcher joins Lon Farm at Tweedmill
Award-winning Denbigh butcher Glyn Davies, has appointed local butcher Alan Ainsworth to join the team at Tweedmill Shopping Outlet.
Alan, a traditional butcher with over 30 years butchering experience, will be running the fresh meat and delicatessen counter; and is committed to stocking 100% Welsh grown or supplied produce.
Alan said: “I am delighted to join Glyn and the team at Tweedmill. All our produce is very local, so it’s literally field to fork. For example the beef and pigs are raised on our award winning Lon Farm, and is top quality. The venison is from Cefn Estates just down the road from here, while our lamb and hoggets are from the Clwydian Range Graziers, raised on the upper slopes of Moel Famau.”
He also added: “We will be launching a series of live cooking demonstrations in-store at Tweedmill and I will be sharing some of my favourite recipes with customers – an unmissable treat for any budding chef or food lover.”
Tweedmill director Lisa Johns said: “We are really pleased to have Alan on board with us at Tweedmill. Our aim is for all the produce either to be made here in Wales, or supplied by companies locally to us; and to have a traditional butcher in-store. We wanted to showcase the best that Wales can offer.”
